Paleo Slow Cooker Review – Delicious Paleo Crockpot Recipes from Chrissy Gower

Before I get started on my review, in the essence of full disclosure, I was given a free copy of this book by the author, Chrissy Gower.  I am under no obligation to write a review, let alone a positive one, so the fact I was given this book doesn’t at all taint my thoughts about it.

Now that I’ve gotten that out of the way, I think Paleo Slow Cooking is an absolutely phenomenal book.  Aside from the beautiful layout – lots of great pictures, nice slick pages, etc. – the recipes in the book look absolutely delicious.

And this isn’t just my opinion; it’s my wife’s, too!  As soon as I got the book in the mail I handed it over to her and asked that she bookmark a few recipes she’d like to try.  About 15 minutes later, she handed the book back with over 30 recipes bookmarked!

Obviously, I haven’t had enough time to try all 30 recipes between receiving the book and writing this review, but I have tried two (pictures forthcoming) and they were extremely tasty and extremely easy to make. I’m also planning on making a third for when we have people over to the house for my wife’s birthday.

I love crockpot recipes, largely because I lead a very busy life (a regular full-time job on top of running the magazine) so I don’t have a ton of time to prepare and cook meals.  Plus, I’ve found crockpot recipes to be pretty cost effective because you tend to get several meals out of them.

So, if you’re like me and you want to be able to have delicious meals without having to spend lots of time in the kitchen preparing the meal, Paleo Slow Cooking is the book for you!
