When I first went Paleo, I read everything I could. I checked out Robb Wolf and Mark Sisson’s sites on the regular. I read The Paleo Solution and It Starts With Food from cover to cover. While I covered a lot of ground and learned a lot, I also felt like I had learned too much and was stuck in analysis paralysis.
Since I’m sure I’m not the only person who has dealt with this while beginning a Paleo journey, I thought it would be helpful to reach out to some of our Paleo vets via our Facebook page and ask for the one piece of advice they would offer Paleo newbies.
Here are some of the best responses – which assumes you already know the basics of what the Paleo diet is about:
Clean out your pantry! – Cara
Embrace new foods. It’s more about what you CAN eat than what you CAN’T eat. – Evan
Take it slow, read, experiment in the kitchen, and don’t listen to the haters! – Chris
Make one new recipe a week. This will help keep the food interesting and will improve your cooking skills. – Cassy
Shop the outer ring of the store – Terri
Simple can be amazing and just what your body is looking for. – Stormi
It’s not that hard and you will feel so much better, plus it’s the best way to eat. Not a diet, but the natural way one should eat. – Phyllis

Never let perfect be the enemy of good. – Lots of people
