(Below is a guest post I received via email from a pregnant woman — name withheld, at her request – who wanted to share her experience of being pregnant and using the Squatty Potty. Enjoy!)

Clearly, this pregnant woman is upset because she is constipated and doesn’t have a Squatty Potty.
When my husband first told me we were getting a Squatty Potty, I was a little bit skeptical. I mean, the idea sounds pretty crazy when you hear about it for the first time, and I figured he was just wasting money.
Thankfully, we didn’t have much time to argue the merits of the purchase because right about the time the Squatty Potty arrived in the mail, we found out I was pregnant. Needless to say, we were (and are) overjoyed and began planning for our little bundle of joy!
As part of the planning, I started reading about all the changes my body would go through as part of the pregnancy, which included potentially lots of constipation and possible hemorrhoids which, needless to say, didn’t sound all that great.
Early during the first month my pregnancy, I felt some constipation but didn’t think too much of it. Around the second month I noticed I had become irregular and gassy, which is very unusual for me. (I know it’s not lady-like to talk about this stuff, but I’m not sure I can avoid it given the subject matter!)
My husband had been raving about the Squatty Potty since he started using it – I noticed the benefits too, especially him being less gassy! – so I figured I would give it a shot, too.
I’ve been using the Squatty Potty for the past two months now, and I have been far less constipated and gassy and have not developed hemorrhoids. I can definitely thank the Squatty Potty for a lot of this; I have friends who recently had children, and each one of them have complained about being constipated all the time and none of them had a Squatty Potty.
I know correlation does not imply causation, but given the fact the Squatty Potty has relieved similar symptoms in my husband, I have to believe it’s helping nonetheless.
(Now this is where I come back in — remember, you can get 10% off your Squatty Potty purchase when you use our exclusive “paleolife10” coupon code when you oder!)
