Upcoming Posts

Things have been hectic, so today’s post is a short and sweet preview of things we’re working on over the coming days:

Based on many comments from our “Eating Healthy Doesn’t Have To Be Expensive So Stop Whining About It” post, I will be doing two things:

  • I’m working with Stephanie Nelson, founder of CouponMom, on an interview/article that will give a lot of tips on how you can slash your organic grocery bill.  This should give concrete examples of why eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive.
  • I’m also working on doing a personal “case study” of going Paleo on a budget.  If you have suggestions for a budget cap, please leave a comment below!  Anything within reason will be considered.

Lastly, tomorrow, for fun, I’m going to start the Best Paleo Food Tournament, where every day I will have two foods will be listed and, based on user votes, the winner will advance and the loser will be eliminated.  The tournament will work similar to the NCAA tournament, so no re-seeding or anything like that.  The 16 foods that will duke it out are as follows:

  1. Avocados
  2. Full Fat Dairy
  3. Coconut Oil
  4. Dark Chocolate
  5. Organ Meat
  6. Grass Fed Beef
  7. Almonds
  8. Free Range Chicken
  9. Blueberries
  10. Garlic
  11. Salmon
  12. Free Range Eggs
  13. Olive Oil
  14. Broccoli
  15. Bacon
  16. Spinach

The seeds were randomly generated, so there are a lot of interesting matchups in the early rounds!  Be sure to come back tomorrow to vote on the first matchup!
